PFA Closes $9.4 MM Financing for the West Ridge Academy Charter School

The Public Finance Authority (PFA) has provided $9.4 million to finance 501(c)(3) nonprofit revenue bonds for the WRA Building Corporation (WRA). WRA will use the bond proceeds to acquire, construct, equip and improve a tuition free, Colorado public charter school known as West Ridge Academy Charter School located in Greely, Colorado.

West Ridge Academy Charter School began operations in 2011 serving students in Kindergarten to grade 8. The current enrollment is 258 students at the Greely campus. The mission of the Academy is to help students excel to their full potential; the Academy community is committed to a rigorous academic learning environment taught by an exemplary staff of passionate educators. Their vision is to prepare each student with an exemplary educational experience, allowing each child to meet his or her highest academic and character potential. By following the Core Knowledge Sequence curriculum, all grade levels are provided with a rich and balanced educational opportunity.

PFA partnered with Kutak Rock, D. A. Davidson and North Slope Capital Advisors to provide financing to the WRA. The bond financing will allow the charter school to improve the campus and continue to serve the needs of the students.
